Bassist Joris Teepe is the first jazz musician from the Netherlands who achieved success in New York. In 1993, he recorded his first album with an ensemble lead together with D. Braden. Since that moment, Joris's career has gathered momentum. The artist has cooperated e.g. with B. Golson, S. Fortune, R. Ali, B. Hart, and R. Brecker. So far, Joris has released 10 albums as a leader. He is also a renowned composer, producer of albums (he has cooperated with various companies and artists), teacher (director of Jazz Studies at the Hanze University, bass professor at the Queens College in New York), and leader of the ensemble. In 2004, Teepe was nominated for the Bird Award at the North Sea Jazz Festival.
